If you send a message to someone on WhatsApp, the person in front gets a blue tick if he reads the message. But if you want to know what time your message was read, you can easily find out. Select the message you have sent. Then click on the ‘information’ icon at the top. You will get full details of when the message was delivered and when it was read. You can also use it on messages sent to the group.

If you are bothered by repeated messages in the group, you can mute the group chat. WhatsApp has the option to mute group chat.
